About Dr. John A. Guzzetti

After over forty years in practice in Beaver, Dr. John A. Guzzetti is at the forefront of Laser Vision Care in Western Pennsylvania. Dr. Guzzetti has been involved in this field since FDA approval in 1995. He has been certified by the AllSight Laser Center in the management of Laser Vision Care and continues to take professional education
courses in this field.

A Beaver High School graduate, Dr. Guzzetti earned a BS in Biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1978. He received his degree of Doctor of Optometry in 1982 from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. After graduation, Dr. Guzzetti returned to Beaver to join the practice started by his late father, Dr. Albert J. Guzzetti. The practice
moved to its current location in Vanport in 1982.

Active in his profession, Dr. Guzzetti is a member of the American Optometric Association. He is also a member of the PA Optometric Association, the Western Pennsylvania Optometric Society and is program chairman of the Beaver Valley Optometric Society. He was voted Western Pennsylvania’s Optometrist of the Year in 2011.

Active in his community, Dr. Guzzetti is a life member of the Beaver Area Jaycees and was honored as Jaycee of the Year in 1984 and 1993. He is a charter board member of the Beaver Area School District Education Foundation and was president of the county’s Easter Seal Society in 1991. He is also on the advisory board of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
